Tax and accounting firm located in Pleasant Hill, CA. is seeking a full-time CPA Tax Manager to join our tax firm. Candidate must have experience advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. In this role, the Tax Manager is charged with applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues, and recognizing and communicating potential risks and changes in the tax policy. In addition, Tax Manager will be involved in managing/training the tax team, networking and business development.
Candidate would also have a working knowledge of Quickbooks, Microsoft Office Suites, Ultra Tax Software (preferred), has strong computer skills, has a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, is able to consistently meet deadlines, is reliable, self-motivated, a multi-tasker, as well as holds the ability to communicate clearly.
Full-time, in office, $125k-$175k annually, plus opportunity for bonuses. Five (8)+ years of public accounting, management experience and tax return preparation experience.
Other responsibilities may include,
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Tax, Accounting or related field.
- CPA certification.
- Experience with federal tax compliance, federal tax accounting and provisions, tax analysis, and tax research.
- Preparing and reviewing Consolidated C-Corp, Partnerships, S-Corp, Individual and multi-state tax returns.
- Ability to be a person of influence utilizing strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Train and develop staff members.
- Attention to detail and takes ownership.
- Professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude.
- Proven success with business development and ability to challenge clients to reach their potential.
