POSITION SUMMARY
As a senior level position in the Finance department, the Controller Operations Director is responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting of Manufacturing and Distribution Facilities financial information, the maintenance of adequate internal controls and providing appropriate support to Operations and Supply Chain management. This position will set the financial strategy and lead the execution of finance functions and initiatives for Sigma US manufacturing and distribution facilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Leads and advises Regional Controllers on day to day accounting activities, including reporting, financial analysis, monthly/yearly closing processes and product costing
- Prepares various ad-hoc financial analyses at the operations level on an as needed basis
- Oversee preparation and review of all monthly closes, P&L estimates, forecasts, and annual plan.
- Ensures adequate internal controls are maintained and operating as intended in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. Recommend and implement improvements to controls as necessary.
- Develop reporting, metrics, and provide critical support and information to executive stakeholders in collaboration with operations team; ensure accruals are in line with actuals
- Works with VP’s on establishing key performance indicators and monitors performance, ensures reliability and consistency of data.
- Works with Operations & Supply Chain management to establish annual objectives by facility
- Assures appropriate training has been identified and initiated to develop Plant Controllers
- Works with the VP’s on identifying cost savings opportunities.
- Assist Operations management with preparation and review of all financial presentations, including quarterly Officers Meeting reviews.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Three (3) years leadership experience

- Leadership and problem-solving abilities, in-depth product costing knowledge, basic GAAP and PC skills
- Demonstrated success influencing diverse partners and leading teams that include direct and non-direct reports in cross-functional settings
- Demonstrated proven capability to convene, lead and coordinate committees or ad hoc work groups to successfully deliver projects, solutions, and processes
- Demonstrated business acumen with knowledge and understanding of business issues, priorities, goals, and strategy
- Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing
- Ability to build professional relationships with finance and cross functional teams while facilitating a collaborative environment, proven persuasion skills
- The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet changing deadlines, present a professional demeanor, and work well independently and in a team while generating innovative solutions to complex challenges
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy and an inquisitiveness to determine explanations, with an ability to consolidate multiple sources of analyses into a cohesive recommendation
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Cost accounting experience
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Four to five trips to Phoenix corporate office per year as well as travel in between plants on an as needed basis
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing.
- Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery.
- Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
COMPENSATION
- $132,700 - $165,000 annual salary, depending on geography, skills, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- This position is eligible for an incentive bonus, based on achievements of company targets and individual performance expectations
