We currently have an open position for a Resident Office Manager at our site Angelus Plaza, located in Los Angeles, CA.
JOB DUTIES:
- Provide administrative support to the Assistant Administrator and other departments as directed.
- Assist the Rental Office and Accounting with gathering documentation for annual recertification, interims, collection of data and serving notices.
- Keep track and report to Administration when residents go on vacation, in a skilled nursing facility, or away from the unit.
- Attempt to identify each person entering the building to distinguish residents from visitors. All visitors must sign in and out and obtain a badge using the kiosk.
- Conduct Move-in inspections and campus tours for incoming residents
- Conduct Annual and move-out inspections as directed
- Handle resident concerns (inputting work order repair requests in OneSite, resident/family complaints, etc.) with a solution-focused mindset while maintaining professionalism
- Assist maintenance staff with fire extinguisher, bi-annual smoke detector testing, annual unit/follow-up unit inspections, and scheduled pest control
- Respond to all resident/ building emergencies including on-call after hour emergencies
- Conduct monthly resident community meetings and maintain record keeping
- Perform daily inspections of the building (interior and exterior) to ascertain safety hazards, violations, unit/balcony safety, health violations, and rooftops.
- Write incident reports in complete detail, when required, to advise Administration of emergency responses, notable situations, or major maintenance problems.
- Conduct annual fire drills and serve as Fire Safety Director to comply with LAFD high-rise regulations
- Assist with the Reasonable accommodation request process by following up with residents, the maintenance department, and updating Administration once completed
- Ensure residents are abiding by the house rules and policies, and involve social service coordinators and/or administration when needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in affordable housing property management
- Experience in working with a diverse group of seniors and persons with disabilities
- Experience with OneSite preferred for processing work orders
- Ability to be a team player by working closely other Resident Office Managers, Janitors, Maintenance, and other staff
This is a Full-Time Position (8:00AM to 5:00PM Weekdays)
