Join our Fresh Food Production (FFP) team at our new Micro Kitchen in New York! FFP is a groundbreaking initiative by Whole Foods Market committed to delivering top-quality food at scale. Our best-in-class FFP facilities will optimize quality, food safety, and execution consistency for prepared fresh food for Whole Foods Market.

The role of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Data Specialist, who will also work in materials control, is focused on upload and maintenance of ERP Product data, ensuring it is clean and accurate. Primary responsibilities include entering, maintaining, and guaranteeing the accuracy of our ERP master data such as Bill of Materials (BOMs), item and cost information, and routings and ensuring this information accurately reflects the material and processes in our warehouse and on the manufacturing floor.

This position will be part of the Operations team reporting directly to the Associate Facility Team Leader.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Sage X3, in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Work with internal stakeholders to drive efficiency, quality, and accuracy of ERP master data.
Provide ERP inputs to optimize kitchen processes that will streamline inventory management, cost control, production planning, and recipe management.
Continuously assess product data through usage of exception reports to ensure ERP data quality and integrity, root causing any issues and communicating with all relevant departments.
Participate in the change order process and new product introduction, taking responsibility for ERP-related activities.
Provide input and guidance on the most efficient ways to structure change requests as they relate to the release and maintenance of data in the ERP system.
Participate in continuous cycle counting and yearly inventory audits and report on discrepancies.
Generate and report on inventory control metrics such as actual vs. theoretical usage, including stockouts and cycle count accuracy.
Support the implementation of our manufacturing processes and systems, and collaborate with facility leadership to support kitchen operations and corresponding requirements.
Generate reports to help facility leadership make informed decisions.
Ensure data accuracy and compliance with food safety regulations within the ERP environment.
Become a subject matter expert on the ERP system, understanding its configurations, modules, and best practices.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma and 1+ years of experience.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a food manufacturing facility is desired.
Basic understanding of ERP systems or similar platforms.
Basic knowledge of the modules within ERP software such as finance, inventory management, procurement, and production planning.
Hands-on experience with ERP implementation, customization, and maintenance is highly valued.
Basic understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain management, environmental health and safety, and OSHA.
Basic computer skills; strong Excel skills; proficiency in select Microsoft Office applications (Word and PowerPoint); and ability to learn custom applications. Knowledge of Power BI a plus.
Ability to work well with others, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with little supervision.
Ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must adhere to company dress code and standards of production kitchen dress and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodation.
Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
May require use of ladders.

The wage range for this position is $21.00 - $28.50 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers â€œWhole Benefits".
