The Executive Director, Behavioral Health Innovation and Health Equity will report to the VP and Chief Psychiatric Officer of CVS Health. This detail-oriented, results-driven leader will drive alignment and implementation of all aspects of the enterprise behavioral health strategy, including assuring strong engagement with colleagues; coordination and prioritization across disparate enterprise divisions as it relates to behavioral health; identify innovative ways to deliver evidence-based care that can decrease disability and suffering; increase the health and productivity of our members and customers with mental health conditions; and reduce the adverse economic impact on our members and customers, their families and the health system. This includes assessing current marketplace BH clinical offerings and trends, creating test and learns where possible to understand emerging offerings and technology, assess CVS Health / Aetna clinical BH offerings, and author opportunities to connect various CVS Health assets to provide seamless BH interactions for our members and customers. This role will oversee a team of diverse individuals who lead the development of and execution of the initiatives, programs, and projects within the team portfolio. In addition, this team will also have responsibility for behavioral health equity and women’s health initiatives that fall within the Office of the CPO’s responsibility. This team will also identify and work collaboratively across the enterprise to review, assess and update, as needed, CVS Health BH policy.
This candidate will work across business units to assure the behavioral health strategy is meeting business growth and impact needs. Assure all behavioral health plans and initiatives within the team’s portfolio are implemented in a timely and effective manner and are aligned with enterprise and business goals and will anticipate and respond to ongoing needs. This position will forge, and lead select new initiatives with external partners and clients to advance enterprise goals.
This is a remote based (work from home) full-time position and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Role Responsibilities:

Create infrastructure for strong BH Innovation program development based appropriate BH standards of care. This position will create and recommend: BH Products, Workflows and Policy.

Train and supervise team

Create workflows and trainings to promote consistency across lines of business where applicable

BH SME for parity impacts

Review as needed to ensures clinical processes are compliant with all Federal and State regulations

Work collaboratively with MPO team as BH SME and ensure consistency of clinical policies with current best practices and across lines of business.

Serves as a clinical liaison supporting our partner teams and line of business leaders as appropriate in matters pertaining to behavioral health innovation and/or policy.

Provide clinical expertise and consultation in the creation of BH innovation programs and projects.

Provides consultation to staff regarding program and project development and execution.

Provides clinical expertise to internal and external customers regarding CVS Health /Aetna’s behavioral health programs as needed.

Maintains open communication with constituents within the company.

Manages the use of outside resources and vendors in a cost-effective manner to perform activities necessary for BH innovation programs and projects

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse and/or Masters Level Behavioral Health certification

Active and Unencumbered license
-
10+ years of experience managing complex teams and projects within a clinical or healthcare setting

15+ years of total business experience

10+ years of people management experience
-
10+ years of clinical experience within health care industry/knowledge of CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines and principles

Effective communicator with peers and senior leaders, both 1:1 and in small groups

Strong management skills – can see both forest (strategy) and trees (detail oriented)

Entrepreneurial, can move projects ahead and problem solve obstacles encountered without senior leader input; anticipates roadblocks prior to their occurring

Proven experience successfully managing complex projects and teams.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$184,112.50 - $396,600.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
