Job Overview
The Senior Technical Manager, Food Safety Training and Consulting provides direction, oversight, and development of SCS Consulting food safety training and consulting projects. The position will be responsible for key consulting accounts, developing new service offerings in both training and consulting, engaging with the SCS Sales & Marketing department, and outbound sales initiatives to support growth at tradeshows, conferences, and networking events. This position requires expertise in the relevant standard/scheme(s) regulations, third-party auditing experience, and certification accreditation requirements. This role will focus on working directly with clients on projects and training, while also building a strong foundation with VP and Directors of the departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Training team with developing and implementing the training schedule, assigning trainers, and launching new courses
- Responsible for managing assigned key consulting accounts
- Outbound sales initiatives to identify and support consulting and training growth opportunities to expand services into new markets through tradeshows, conferences, and networking events
- Support business growth by engaging cross-functionally with Sales & Marketing departments and direct upsell of additional product solutions and client engagement
- Support the development of new service offerings in both training and consulting
- Identify and develop opportunities to improve processes and create effective solutions
- Contribute towards the achievement of the Company's strategic and operational objectives by supporting the development and delivery of OKRs
- Conduct and develop trainings and manage consulting projects
- Monitor project timelines to ensure work product is delivered according to client expectations
- Coordinate with Senior Food Safety Training and Consulting Specialist to support operational needs
- Attend cross-functional team meetings and provide business/project updates
- Contribute to building a positive, collaborative, and respectful team atmosphere
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural, Food Science, or related field and
- 7+ years of experience conducting food safety audits, training, or managing operations related to Food and Agriculture and/or training and
- 5+ years of staff and technical management experience
- Proficient with business software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and database management
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize numerous tasks effectively
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
- Initiative, good judgment, and ability to work independently under pressure in a changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a relevant field

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.

$99,000 - $135,000
