Are you passionate about helping people achieve their dream of homeownership? FORUM Credit Union is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Mortgage Consultant to join our team. As a Mortgage Consultant, you'll be responsible for providing mortgage solutions to both our existing FORUM members and new referrals from realtors, builders, CPAs, and financial planners. You'll focus on residential mortgage pre-approvals, purchase loans, construction loans, and refinances.
Responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities consist of:

Originate residential mortgage loans for FORUM members

Conduct mortgage application interviews through various established contacts

Develop and maintain relationships within the real estate industry and other sources to generate additional mortgage loans

Ensure all client interactions comply with Federal and state regulations

Stay updated on lending guidelines and industry changes

Provide exceptional service by pre-qualifying applicants, counseling on mortgage products, and ensuring a smooth mortgage process and closing

Qualifications:
What we are looking for:

A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training program

One year to three years of similar or related mortgage lending experience with a book of business

Ability to achieve production goals.
