The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands on experience installing audio and video systems, or working with structured cabling. This person must be flexible, efficient, team oriented and willing to travel.

Level 3 Audio Video Technician - Project Engineer
Please read the Requirements section carefully. This role is for an Audio and Video system integration and installation technician. This role requires hands on work installing and troubleshooting AV systems.
The Project Engineer is an advanced technician tasked with a blend of responsibilities related to projects. The PE must be a seasoned technician with the ability to handle all elements of an installation, provide field supervision and guidance to Level 1 and 2 Techs and Outsourced Partners, follow a schedule, work with Project Managers and GC’s, handle complex control and DSP code and troubleshooting. The PE will work internally to guide labor estimates and allocation, conduct design review meetings, and direct equipment kitting processes. The PE will also work in the field as directed by PM’s.
Key Responsibilities:
· Needs Assessment
· Perform site visits as needed to assist Sales and/or Design in preparation of functional use cases and proposal
· Organize notes and site visit pics and information and store in Project Folder
· Design Review – Cross reference SOW’s, BOM’s, and drawings to ensure accuracy of planned installation documents
· Site Planning
· Work with Project Managers to ensure SOW Known Needs are addressed
· Ensure facility is prepared for infrastructure installation
· Conduct Site Visits as needed
· Liaison with clients, general contractors, and authorized service partners on-site
· Maintain on-site communication of active projects in coordination with Project Manager/Coordinator
· Work with PM/PC to build a project installation plan
· Install equipment as needed
· Manage commissioning and testing of systems
· Manage quality assurance of all systems
· Ensure field reports are completed in coordination with Project Manager/Coordinator
· Provide Training to less experienced technicians as needed
· Installation Team – work with PM and Project and Service Coordinator to provide leadership, quality management and direction to the Install Team.
· Installation of structured cabling to include pulling, terminating and testing cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI and audio cables
· Installation of rigging/mounting of equipment such as projectors, projector screens, and displays
· Installation of AV equipment to include: audio/ video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, video projection, control systems and flat panel and projection screen mounting
· Assist with equipment handling, onsite equipment inventory, equipment replacement and returns
· Interpret line and architectural drawings
· Complete daily field reports and report time as directed
· Troubleshoot basic AV systems
· Follow all safety guidelines
· Communicate with the client in a professional and courteous manner
Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
Be able to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 35 feet; lifting equipment, tools and materials. Loading and unloading equipment weighing a minimum of 75 pounds.
Requirements
· 5 years+ Audio Video installation experience
· Cable Pulling, Rack Building, Signal Termination, System Calibration, System Testing.
· Commissioning Room Systems
· Good verbal and written communications skills.
· Excellent working knowledge of AV Installation practices & procedures.
· Digital Control System, DSP and IP-enabled Device Integration experience (examples: Crestron, BiAmp, Extron, etc.)
· Knowledge of Videoconferencing Systems required (Poly, Cisco, Teams).
· Ability to read and use CAD/Blueprints and other design drawings.
· Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
· Other Industry Certifications that are helpful (examples: DMC-E, DMC-T, SMART, RCDD, EST, CET, MCSE, etc.)
· Valid Driver’s License with good Driving Record.
· Extended travel as much as 60%.
