THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION
Under the general supervision of the Child Abuse Unit supervisors, the Deputy Investigator performs duties related to
criminal investigations of child abuse and related allegations in close collaboration with Child Protective Services, the
Children’s Assessment Center, and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Interview witnesses and interrogate suspects

Attend Forensic Interviews
-
Prepare detailed reports
-
Manage a substantial caseload
-
Subpoena medical records, therapy records, and any other items needed for case presentation

File charges
-
Testify in court
-
Assist other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in conducting criminal investigations
-
Perform other assignments and duties as required and necessary
