Currently, we're in search of a Senior Hydrogeologist to oversee, assist, and execute a diverse range of projects in the commercial, construction dewatering, power generation, and industrial sectors. Our projects typically encompass various hydrologic studies, groundwater investigations, water resource assessments, permitting tasks, operational support, and contaminant analyses. The position is full-time and based in either our Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, or Seattle offices.
The ideal candidate will:
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated team on a multitude of challenging projects for diverse clients.
- Develop comprehensive groundwater flow models utilizing Modflow (Visual Modflow, Groundwater Vistas, GMS), MT3D.
- Conduct fate and transport analyses using Modflow (Visual Modflow, Groundwater Vistas, GMS), MT3D.
- Lead project teams involved in hydrogeological analyses for water supply and environmental projects.
- Provide management oversight for staff conducting field investigations and data collection activities.
- Manage and interpret aquifer tests, including predictive surface and groundwater modeling, and other hydrologic analyses.
- Supervise routine data gathering, synthesis, and analysis using industry-standard methodologies.
- Aid in identifying technical challenges and devising problem-solving strategies for hydrogeological site characterization.
- Supervise the preparation of reports, including the visualization of data such as potentiometric surface maps, geologic and hydrogeological cross-sections, hydrologic model simulations, and maps.
- Preferred experience with various quantitative groundwater modeling software applications.
- Prepare cost estimates and qualification statements.
- Possess advanced abilities in quality control, planning, cost estimation, and scheduling.

- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Engineering Geology, or related fields; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in hydrogeology; project management experience is advantageous. Professional license (RG, PG, or CHG) or ability to acquire one within 2 years.
- Proven track record in constructive client engagement, leading to successful project outcomes. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to technical details.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modeling.
- Capability to present to clients and support negotiations with regulators. Computer Skills – Proficient in industry-standard software applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing, reviewing, and editing to meet project objectives and client expectations.
- Completion of OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates, with a strong commitment to safety.
- Willingness to travel as required to support clients, projects, and project team collaboration.
