Mortgage Sales Manager Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Vice President, the ‘Mortgage Sales Manager’ supervises and manages a sales team of 20+ Loan Officers within our branch office, to ensure quality performance.
The Mortgage Sales Manager position allows you to focus on production without worrying about keeping the lights on. Mortgage Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic growth and expansion as needed and identified.
- Oversee strategic partners and vendors to achieve sales strategies.
- Supervise, hire, train, schedule and assign work; assess performance, coach or discipline a sales team of 20 licensed Loan Officers as needed.
- Train a team of 20 Loan Officers on how to implement and develop action plans to obtain their goals and maintain compliance to legal, regulatory and company laws, regulations and/or policies.
- Provide outstanding service to each internal and external member.
- Drive Lending and Departmental behaviors, activities and goals to meet production levels and service delivery KPI’s.
- Approve loans within the parameters approved by the Board of Directors and delegated by the Vice President.
- Maintain a cohesive working relationship with vendors, third-party referral sources, underwriters, attorneys, appraisers, and title companies.
- Oversee Mortgage processing, Mortgage underwriting, closing and the Servicing Team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President
- Ensure that departmental goals (established in conjunction with the Vice President) are met.
- Ensure that all approved loans comply with established policies and regulations.
- Complete performance reviews with staff within the prescribed time frame.
- Ensure that mortgage, home equity and loan servicing quality control checks are completed in a timely manner with 100% accuracy.
Mortgage Sales Manager Requirements:
- NMLS SAFE ACT compliant, holding state licenses
- Bachelor’s degree with proven mortgage experience
- Must currently average a MINIMUM of 7 loan closes per month
- Minimum 10 years mortgage sales experience with demonstrated success that puts you in top 20% of the sales force
- Minimum 5 years managerial mortgage experience, with demonstrated success in managing a big team of licensed Mortgage Originators
- Self-motivated, independent, eager, hands-on
- Industry-educated professional who possesses the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry
- Must have superior communication and supervisory skills
- Experience with Encompass and Salesforce
