Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Recovery Coach, you will provide support and guidance to individuals who are recovering from addiction and working towards their goals of sobriety and overall wellness. Duties:
- Build rapport and establish a trusting relationship with clients
- Conduct assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized recovery plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address addiction issues
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to inspire and empower clients
- Assist clients in developing coping skills and healthy strategies for relapse prevention
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Offer crisis intervention services when necessary
- Provide mentoring and support to help clients navigate challenges in their recovery journey
- Monitor progress and document client interactions accurately
Requirements:
- Prefer bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
- Certification or licensure in addiction counseling or related field is highly desirable
- Experience in behavioral health, mental health counseling, or addiction treatment
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction recovery
- Familiarity with crisis management techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Systems thinking: Ability to understand the interconnectedness of various systems that impact individuals in recovery.
- Social work: Knowledge of social work principles and practices, including advocacy, case management, and community resources.
- Motivational interviewing: Proficiency in using motivational interviewing techniques to elicit behavior change and enhance motivation for recovery.
- Addiction counseling: Understanding of addiction treatment modalities, including individual counseling, group therapy, and family support.
- Crisis intervention: Ability to provide immediate support and intervention during crisis situations.
- Mental health counseling: Knowledge of mental health disorders and therapeutic interventions to address co-occurring conditions.
- Mentoring: Skill in providing guidance, support, and encouragement to individuals in recovery.
- Behavioral health: Understanding of behavioral health concepts and approaches to promote overall wellness.
- Crisis management: Ability to effectively respond to and manage crisis situations.
