DEPARTMENTAL INFORMATION
This part-time position is located in the Utilities Enterprise Systems Division of the Utilities Department within the City of Oklahoma City. The Program Specialist will support the development and implementation of innovative technological solutions, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and other software utilized by the Utilities Department. Using project management methodologies, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze data, streamline processes, and ensure efficient project execution.
JOB SUMMARY
This job includes professional and management occupations requiring extensive courses of study (typically four or more years education, degrees, professional certification and/or licensing) or some combination of education and experience in related types of work. The employee may perform as a specialist, team lead or functional supervisor; manage special projects or professional program functions or activities, conduct research, audit or monitor program functions and activities, exchange information, and perform professional, technical or operational tasks using skill, knowledge and ability acquired through prolong educational courses of study. Knowledge of organizational, managerial, and administrative concepts and principles of the designated profession, skill in research principles and practices, and specialized knowledge of specific professional occupations including: engineering; architecture; accounting; urban planning; legal or technical advisors; scientists; supervisors; and other management professionals; may be required to fully function in the assigned position. Ability to travel is required.

Note: This position will work no more than 29 hours per week.
Pay Method: City employees are required to receive pay electronically, either via direct deposit or pay card.

Background Investigation, Drug Testing, Physical Examination: Upon a conditional offer of employment/acceptance of position, the City of Oklahoma City will conduct a criminal history background check for external applicants. If the position accepted includes a driver license (commercial or non-commercial) Job Requirement, the City of Oklahoma City will obtain a Motor Vehicle Report for internal and external applicants.

If the position accepted is cyber security sensitive, internal and external applicants will be subject to a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Interstate Identification Index (III) Fingerprint Background check. Additionally, employees in this job classification must complete Level 4 Security Awareness Training and pass an online certification test.
