Job Summary
The sales representative is responsible to grow and develop the sales of The Bridge’s construction products such as countertop and flooring lines with the retailer/dealer networks located within an assigned geographic territory. Additionally, the sales representative will attend tradeshows, conduct jobsite/customer office visits in effort to introduce more product categories, promotional pricing, key product solutions and close sales.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with customers within specific territory
- Applies a consultative selling strategy to understand the needs of the customer and apply a proactive selling approach when scheduling on-going follow-ups with sales opportunities.
- Assist customers by providing knowledge and training company products to their store personnel, to ensure personnel can be able to present product and negotiate well with consumers
- Understand our products, our market competition and how to position products to overcome these factors
- Manage displays, samples, and selling tools for customer availability. Use all relevant selling tools such catalogs and brochures, selling programs and fulfillment channels to bring the most effective solutions that will most benefit their pro customer.
- Understand retail business financials to consult with dealers on retail pricing, advertising, promotions and ROI.
- Quote prices, discuss credit terms and prepare sales contracts for customer orders
- Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company’s delivery schedules.
- Review and analyze various sales reports to identify sales potential
- Research and analyze customer need and demands based on market information
- Investigate and resolve customer claims/problems with deliveries, returns and credits
- Attend trade shows throughout the year as required
- Travel 40% - 70% locally, occasionally nationally and/or internationally.
- Perform additional duties as required and or requested.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Passion! Passion! Passion! Confidence and motivation to work toward targets.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Two (2) plus years’ experience in channel distribution sales. Minimum of 2 years of related construction material experience such as natural stone, slab or flooring.
- Strong math skills calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume.
- Ability to determine solutions for customers. Resilience to deal with customers who turn you down.
- Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills. Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Intermediate computer proficiency. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Teams.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
