St. John's College High School is seeking a full-time instructor beginning in the 2024-25 school year for the Cadet Corps Leadership Program (CCLP). The program focuses on four pillars: Leadership, Cadet Culture, Character, and Health and Wellness. Students' knowledge and experience- integrated with mentorship from instructors- builds important skills and prepares SJC Cadets to lead in their communities and beyond.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a primary instructor in the CCLP assigned to teach 4 to 5 classes.
- Assist with planning and executing experiential learning opportunities that promote cadet learning and growth, such as: Community volunteer projects, Color Guard, Rifle team, Raiders, and other team-building activities.
- Serve as a mentor and role model to approximately 220 students and promote a culture of character development focused on growth of the students in the program.
- Assist in executing all aspects of the CCLP to include: curriculum development, wellness activities, classroom instruction, ceremonies, drill & ceremony, logistics, and administrative duties.
- Assist in developing and managing external relationships with organizations that assist the CCLP
- Foster a culture of excellence and collegiality within the SJC community rooted in the Lasallian tradition.

- A minimum of a bachelor's degree.
- Preferably at least three to five years of military or leadership experience.
- Candidates with teaching, instructing, or mentorship experience will be given preference
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
