JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manager of Quality Informatics is a key strategic leader to support quality outcomes, policy administration and accurate payment by leading a team of Informatics Analysts that leverage information to inform clinical and business decisions and ensure alignment between operations and clinical and nonclinical policies, contracts, and regulations. This position leads a team that enables Enterprise quality informatics that leverages internal and external data sources to drive improvements in business, patient and provider outcomes and payment. The Manager is a trusted thought partner to support the various Quality and Enterprise efforts driving quality outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees the management and delivery of complex informatics to support business and clinical decisions related to quality outcomes, policy administration and accurate payment. Supports of all lines of business, encompassing cross-functional collaboration across various departments including, but not limited to; Sales, Claims, Dental Affairs, Actuary, Provider/Net Dev, Utilization Management, and Grievance & Appeals.

Leads a team of skilled Informatics Analysts that serve as stewards of data integrity and application to create comprehensive analyses, recommendations, impact assessments, visualizations, value propositions and story boards that stakeholders require to support business decisions, goals and strategies.

Implements cross-functional collaboration, thought leadership, mentoring, and influencing to continuously refine the Enterprise and Quality strategy, prioritization, and roadmap.

Participates in annual strategy and planning sessions and collaborates with other functions in the development of support materials to ensure there is a clear Quality roadmap and plan to monitor and improve quality outcomes, payment, and provider behavior.

Oversees the cross-functional design, implementation, and ongoing oversight of the provider risk scoring program.

Leads the Quality Informatics team in creation, documentation and implementation of best practices, modeling methodologies, knowledge tools, sources of truth. Leads by example, demonstrating techniques and walk-throughs with the team and stakeholders.

Conducts research and best practice exploration within the health care industry for informatic methodologies, trends, and techniques.

Manages and develops the team to achieve strategic objectives, encompassing determining staffing needs, setting goals, monitoring performance, interviewing, selecting, coaching, and evaluating the performance of all direct reports, overseeing, and maintaining department budgets.

Maintains stakeholder relationships and collaborative activities to develop, influence, and inform the enablement of transformational change that drives quality objectives and organizational objectives, with a focus on enhancing data and reporting strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS

Background in Insights and Analytics required. Master's Degree preferred.

Strong people leadership skillsets, including talent development and the ability to realize strategies through a team.

High detail orientation with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational/time management and project management skills.

Extensive knowledge of health care industry.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including proven ability to collaborate and influence across all functions and levels of the organization.

Proven ability to resolve conflict and facilitate decision making.

Ability to quickly extract key insights from complex data and details.

Strong knowledge of data exploration and visualization principles, SQL.

Expertise in analytical concepts and statistical techniques.

Ability to build complex spreadsheet models and sort through complex data.

Expertise with data visualization and dashboard tools such as PowerBI.

Strong presentation skills. Should be comfortable with presenting to all levels of management.

Excellent quality control, adaptability, and customer service skills.

Ability to break down complex problems into pieces that can be solved with data, analysis, assumptions, and judgment.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $105,000 - $226,100
